Welcome to the SYCAMORE BLOG

This weeks fantastic blog was created by Abbie and Lucy!
We’ve had an exciting week in Sycamore class and we’re here to share it with you!

Maths
This week it was mock SATS so the year 6’s have been working EXTREMLEY hard on their maths tests. The year 5’s, they have been working in treetops with Mr Gigg.

Literacy
In literacy we have been learning how to create suspense. We read a small story by Anthony Horowitz called "the man with the yellow face". We highlighted the bits that created suspense and explained how they created suspense.  We then wrote our own suspense stories.

Geography
In Geography we have been learning about mountains. We went to the brambles, the new outdoor classroom, and we were given sheets to fill out.  We went to brambles around looking for information about mountains. After that we looked in an atlas for different mountain ranges.

Science
In Science we asked, Does heating or cooling some materials cause them to change? We drew a table of Reversible things and Irreversible things. Then Mrs Gilder passed round materials for us to look at and then…
She burnt them!!!
