Seussical

The show is getting ever closer.

Please everybody, put a concerned effort into learning your song words and movement.

Costume lists are below and will be coming out right after half term and then we will need them in ASAP on a hanger, covered with a plastic bag with EVERY ITEM NAMED.

Attached is the rehearsal schedule for this half term - PLEASE CHECK CAREFULLY.
I have also attached the song words again.

Daisy and Issy's LOLISH blog 




This week has been very busy with all of the year 6 mock sats. While they ave been doing their sats all the year 5's have been planning a holiday for lower key stage 1 and 2.

Every morning while the year sixes have been doing there mock sats year fives have been in in with Miss  Fowler .We have designed a persuasive holiday. Also we looked at real leaflets and saw that we needed to use the following :
  • benefits 
  • snappy slogan
  • play with words
  • adjectives
  • questions 

 Topic we have been looking at the Vikings and tried to draw some of their daily objects.As a class acted as archaeologists, we talked about what materials they were made out of ,who used them and what for.

Art: studying David Hockney. landscapes with unusual colour and texture.

Practising songs for the Production(seussical)we are all very exciting for the production !!!

Literacy- continuing with Mac beth we have been looking at the historical context of the play. Did you know that...mac beth was born on the same road as the tellie tubies  

PE- rounders tournament all of upper key stage 2 had a rounders tournament we mixed altogether in to  groups of 6  and team one won !!!!!

How was your holiday? 

Literacy

Our new subject is William Shakespeare.
In our first we found out some fascinating facts about him and  his talent. We have also listened to the full story of Macbeth and ordered it in a Simpsons version of the story.

Maths
In maths we have been doing probability and percentages.
What is the probability of me seeing an elephant on oakwood drive:  Very unlikely about 1%

Topic
In topic we have started our new subject, the Vikings. We did a true or false quiz on them.

Art
We have been looking at pop art can you tell me why it's so different?

Science
Eat healthy we learnt about how much of each type of food we should a day.
